They were not successful in the sense of them actually moving Madawc anywhere, but Bette and Xavier were successful with stopping him doing what he was doing. The stableman got back up to his feet and was silent. He didn't have much time to speak anyway, because Madawc continued his rant: "You can tell my many things, and I [i]have[/i] heard a lot of things over the past few days. But you can't do that paired with insults like these! That's all!"

He went away, not looking back at what his two companions were doing. "Let's search for a decent vendor or some sort..."
