“I certainly am.” He studied the women, as she sat down before him, and opened a notebook. Now was a good time to see how she was. “Well then Mr. Sanders. We will begin with some basics. I will ask all kinds of questions. If you do not wish to answer them I am alright with that, though I would prefer an answer.” The usual stuff an interviewer said before an interview He nodded again. “I understand completely.” Not that he really cared. It was all fiction anyway. “Alright, so your full name is Alexander Sanders and you are a vampire.” No shit Sherlock. That he already knew. Still it was quite funny hearing him being named different. “How old were you when your time got stopped and how old are you now?” He chuckled. Well here was nothing to lie really. “Getting real personal of the bat? I think my time got stopped somewhere in the 19th century, if I remember correctly. My age then was 27, however I think I'm now roughly 200 years old.” That wasn’t a lie. Like that information was going to hurt him. “Personal, well yes of course. I am interviewing you Mr Sanders. I will dig everything up I can find.” Sure, sure whatever. Let’s get this over with. “Where have you lived until recently?” “I don't mind. It's just that I'm used to such questions being asked immediately.” Let’s first of all do as if really interviewed for the first time. Since that could help getting up his innocent act a little bit. “I lived in Quincy. A small town near Boston.” He knew that because he lived for a few months there in the past. “So how was the mood in Quincy after the blood compact was broken?” Oh now he could really begin his act. “At first it remained complacent, because the mayor didn't want chaos to be happening. However, that remained for just a few hours since after that, the hunts began, after it came out that the mayor himself was a vampire. That's where the chaos began...they chased out my fellow vampires out of their homes..some were dragged away. Other were killed right up the spot.” He sighed and looked away. Adding more drama to his act. “Miss O'Neill, do you know what it feels like? To be hunted down? To see some of your dearest friends turn into your greatest enemies? To see your wife killed before your eyes?!” With each questions he asked, he added more drama to his voice. He then sighed again. “Sorry... it just came all back to me. Please continue.” He laughed out loud in thoughts. The things he did. For an act. “Just a bit Mr Sanders. how was the town before the compact broke? Did humans and vampires got along well?” Boy, she really was getting into details no was she? “Oh they sure did. Sure, there were some minor racial disputes between humans and vampires, but all along. It was nice.” He just told her what he had seen in general on this world. Before that Compact thingie broke. “Previous you mention the mayor being a vampire. Do you know why he had chosen to keep that a secret for the towns people?” Crap. Forget about the major part. He couldn’t really think of something right now so he had to improvise really quick. “That is a mystery for me as well, as he knew that the people didn't really hated Vampires. My speculation is that he wanted to make the people feel safer, since you humans seem to trust each other faster than our kind.” He decided that he added some of his own views in it as well, since that fitted the story. Another reason he hated humans. They were so jumpy to his kind. Made it really hard for him sometimes as well. “I do not disagree on that point with you Mr Sanders. Humans and vampires alike have a lot to learn if we wish to co-exist. So how do you think we should start to re-make the blood compact?” Now this was a question he didn’t knew the answer too because he simply didn’t care about that. Blood compact or not, humans remained the same. He decided to click it together with his story from just now. “Well, I think that trusting each other is a starting point. Since with the blood compact broken, much trust between humans and the other species had shattered. But still. That is not an easy thing to do, since that Compact was a pretty big one, and I think it will never be the same as it was, even if we managed to make a new one.” Was this interview going to last any longer? His lies were starting to dry. "Yes indeed” She closed her notebook. Like she could read his thoughts. “Thank you for the interview, it will be an interesting piece to publish.” Calis smiled. “It was nice to be of service of your newspaper.” Hmn. It was quite entertaining to see how naïve she seemed. Especially if she was a reporter. He would have joy in killing her. Whipping of yet another pathetic naïve soul of this planet. He chuckled, then stood up, and walked outside. After that Belair fellow. He wanted to have at least some sort of conversation with him. He saw Belair sitting outside in the sun. He walked as close as he could to him. Avoiding the sun from the shadows. Another reason he preferred the night. “Hello Mr. Belair.” He said calmly. “I believe we still had a conversation going?” He asked with a smile.
