When the world around you is silent, you have nothing but your thoughts. And sometimes those were so loud you wish the world could be loud. For Rose that was not an option. The world would always be silent for her. Rose walked along the road, eyes darting here and there. She had to be extra vigilant and more observant than anyone else still alive in this hell. Not only because she was alone, but because she was deaf. Her sense of sight was borderline x-men. She could see movement out of the corner of her eye and react before most hearing people could move. She could see someone coming from far away and be gone before they even knew she was there. But more than that : she could see the little things people did, the tells that gave away their inner thoughts and motives. And the people who thought she was stupid regretted their assumptions. Movement to the left had her off the road and up a tree in a matter of seconds. Rose's hazel eyes narrowed as she watched the walkers appear and march past beneath her. Thankfully they hadn't seen her. She counted about a dozen of them, all shuffling towards the city. Apparently they had heard something because they were moving with a purpose.
