Oliver was practically born into the sport of football, being that his father was a left guard for Auburn (and for a season, the Green Bay Packers). He was born into St. Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams fandom, and as soon as he entered the world he and his sister were given Rams themed apparel to wear practically all the time. As a result, Oliver spent his peewee years watching Kurt Warner dominate with the Rams. As soon as he turned the age of six, and gained eligibility to join peewee football, he was signed up almost immediately. Originally, with the Austin Raiders, he was placed at the position of wide receiver, but after some persuading from Oliver's father, he was moved to QB and found massive success there. He continued to stay at the position of quarterback throughout his football career, being compared to the likes of Dan Marino as he was tearing his way through middle school football. He had brought his middle school football team to back-to-back state championships, winning one and losing one. However, none of that mattered once he hit high school. Oliver was put up to massive expectations since this was the school people like Drew Brees and Nick Foles came from, so football was very important there. He was a 5'8" quarterback entering his freshman year, and he was placed on the JV team because of his size. He still managed to have a 75% completion percentage and a 22 touchdown season. That summer though, he hit a huge growth spurt, and as a result he was placed onto varsity as a 5'10 quarterback. His sophomore season was alright for his standards. He made it to the first round of playoffs before he was eliminated. Junior year, as a 6'0" quarterback, he made it a bit further - making it to the second round even. But senior year, was when he hit his prime and started to dominate. 74% completion and 40 touchdowns as he brought Westlake a state title. Soon, it was time for him to decide. Many schools offered him, but he chose to follow in his father's footsteps and chose the Auburn Tigers. In order to maintain another year of eligibility, he red-shirted and as a result he wasn't allowed to play his first year of football. It allowed him to develop further as a quarterback, and by the time he came out as the starting quarterback for Auburn his RS freshman year, he was a stellar quarterback and was even in the running for the Heisman trophy. However, Junior year brought along a change in offensive coordinators, and it really did not fit Oliver's playing style at all. Oliver was primarily a pro-style quarterback, but the new OC had changed it up to a spread offense, which Oliver wasn't as comfortable with. As a result, he had a mediocre season. Sentinel State approached him as talks of him transferring came up, and soon enough ended up transferring to Sentinel State where he holds the title of starting QB.
