William's ability manifested when he was still a child. He made a small toy car explode in from on his and started crying. His parents came and didn't know what happened. Since then William tried to learn how to use his ability. If he wouldn't have been raised at his family farm , he probably would've been in prison by now. Always blowing stuff up , his personality is as his powers are. Volatile. 
He kept his powers hidden to his parents and friends and as time passed he learned about the government's superhero program and as soon as he could , he joined.
