[@6slyboy6] While he wouldn't be able to see, he'd still probably know the gist of where he was going (between the fact that he was running back the way that he had come and his divine protection). I'll agree that he might not be able to sense every obstacle in his path, but I'd still say that escape would be far from impossible at this point. I'd also like to say that Grian was in a thick cloud of flash powder when it was ignited (by fire magic no less). That would singe him a fair bit (even if that isn't its intended purpose), he'd also have some trouble smelling anything properly for a good bit (you'd know what I meant if you'd ever had any combustible powder ignite a bit too close). It's also more than likely that Jiru would have gone back out the window he came had he made it to the barracks like you said. The front gate isn't exactly a logical plan of escape for a thief.
