Their combined effort to take down the Sith was so smooth, so effortless that even Yerbol couldn't help but laugh along with Aria when she sunk to her knees, the projection uttering a last shout of pain before disintegrating. There wasn't very much they had to communicate; instead, it almost felt like their minds were totally in sync, their movements complimenting each other with precision. A bond like this to form so quickly...no, it wasn't that. There was no bond. It was probably just a miraculous effort on both their parts to channel the Force at the same time. This was a powerful source of Force energies, so it wasn't too much of a surprise, but still... Aria's quip about not passing brought his attention back to their current situation. He nodded slightly, looking up the snaking staircase. "Although...maybe we were supposed to destroy the projection. Maybe the whole point of the test was to overcome the guide that was given us." Yerbol strained his senses to feel for anything irregular in the environment, eyes closing for a few moments. When they opened, he shook his head. "Can't feel anything different. Maybe we just climb to the top of the tower and see what's stored up there. Here's hoping it's not another malicious projection out to destroy us." He extended a hand to his companion, helping her to her feet as words tumbled out of his mouth that he wish he could've taken back: "Did you feel the initial forming of a bond between us?" He swore right after the words came out before quickly supplementing the thought: "The way we fought just now. It was so blasted effortless and that has NEVER happened to me before. I mean, I've fought with others in the training room and on battlefields, but I've never had something that fluid come over me before. I've heard about bonds forming between two Force users that can be forged in stressful situations and..." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Point is, something was different about that fight. I wanted to know if you felt the same way." Yerbol then walked to the base of the staircase and began the ascent, hoping that the action of climbing stairs could negate some of the potential awkwardness he had caused by asking...or the potential difficulties that could come from her confirmation. After all, they had ONLY been together for a short period of time, including their fight on Korriban and subsequent flight to Taris. She had murdered his sister and almost succeeded in killing him as well. Could a bond truly form between such opposites? Although the duo were occupied in conversation, Yerbol could sense something shift as they climbed the staircase. A soft grating, then a quick whir...then silence again. They would have to address that after their discussion.
