Piper couldn't get the look on his face out of her mind. She was torn. She knew he played along with her suggestion that he was following them. She knew it wasn't true. If anything he had hoped to do whatever he was doing there without her and Nora finding out. She wondered what it was and desperately hope she was wrong. She was attracted to the vampire. He was the first one that she had been with. She usually stayed away from them. She seemed to fit in better with the wolves most of the time.

She looked at Nora who was looking at the lessening darkness and Piper put her foot on the floor and the car was pushing the red line but she wasn't going to put Nora in jeopardy from something as predictable as the sun. [color=fff200]"Put your gloves on grab the blanket back there and cover yourself. We'll be there in ten minutes." [/color]

[color=6ecff6]"We're not going to make it."[/color] [color=fff200]"Wanna bet?" [/color]Piper could see the house she just had to get her there fast enough. The car was pushing 110 already. Piper turned the car and prayed it would not flip as she took the corner onto the road on two wheels. She started hitting the horn. She knew Rick would get her inside with cover the second the car stopped. Piper slid the car in sideways maybe three feet from the steps. The door opened and Nora was yanked out and inside the house. Piper started laughing in relief. She dragged herself out of the car and stood up and stretched in the rising sunlight. 

Piper looked at the car. It was smoking, there was burnt rubber in the driveway and right where she slid around the corners. [color=fff200]"There better be another car around here."[/color] Piper said chuckling to herself as she entered the house.
