I actually have a few thoughts on that topic

first off, its hard to write about someone just being shocked and feeling ill for a long ass time (cus thats probably how you would feel if it happened in real life)

second, it hasnt happened to any of us as far as i know so i really dont know an accurate way to make my character feel

third, when i wrote about it I kind of put myself in the position of my character. I thought about at first being very shocked but shortly after realizing how real the situation is and trying to figure out what to do

fourth, thats pretty much how subaru reacts in the show, not saying that everyone would react to it that way, but its what we have to work from, and its what we've seen
