Backstory: 
Kasuka is the son of a Japanese woman and Korean man. Born in Korea, Kasuka spent most of his infancy there with both his father and mother in the deteriorating country. His parents wanted to flee the country as they watched their government slowly crumble, but his father's pride and love for his country made him stay. Already enlisted in the military, Kasuka's father returned to service in the war against an unknown army. It was his 2nd year in when Kasuka's father died, devastating his mom and giving her no reason to remain in Korea. With that, she moved forward and stood strong for Hyuk as they made the long journey to Japan. 

Other:
- Kasuka is a nickname that's stuck with Hyuk for most of his life. Children in gradeschool taunted him with the name Kasuka, meaning dim which the opposite of his actual name which means bright. Kasuka hated the name at first but it eventually grew on him and doesn't pay much thought to the name's meaning.
