Ailsa Leisy
In past two weeks Ailsa officially became the second doctor of the camp, assisting Mabel with any injuries that developed, and there were quite a few now that the camp had started training for when the man named "Hunter" came again. From what she'd heard, Hunter seemed to be a dangerous individual bent on collecting powers, an individual that had the potential to become unstoppable. Fortunately for everyone in town, he had yet to become all-powerful, so there was hope that he could be stopped. The looming danger aside, the town was full of life. Ailsa grew closer to all the residents, which was unsurprising considering that she was the one helping to patch them up after a fall by the curb or a particularly enthusiastic spar. She herself had suffered from quite a few headaches after training with Alexandra. The girl was too enthusiastic and hard for her own good, and it was infectious, pushing all the others to train just as hard. If Hunter wanted to kill her just for her power, he was missing out. As the clinic was generally quiet, Aisla often wandered about the town, taking time to pour over the dusty books at the library or pay a visit to her friends. Ranna was often in the field hard at work, Kyle off at meetings organizing the restoration of this and that, Alexandra tinkering with various piles of scrap and emerging with restored technologies, and Tokala dutifully patrolling the city borders with the rest of the guard. Mabel was her friend most of the time, the two bonding over sobbing children with skinned knees and arthritic elders too proud to admit their own pain. The two found a balance in their work, with Mabel diagnosing the ailment and Ailsa stemming the pain before they worked together, building on each others' knowledge to figure out the best mix of medicines and soothing words. As with Zach, Ailsa honestly didn't know how to feel. She cared about him, but mainly as a friend, and with Hunter's return looming above the city like a bloated thundercloud Ailsa didn't feel that it was the right time. There was also the matter that he was to return to his kingdom with Ranna, the princess, and Ailsa couldn't bear the thought of becoming close to someone if she would have to leave them. Besides, Hunter's return was the focus of the town, and Ailsa fully intended to do all she could to save the little oasis she'd found. --- [@wick] [@ashevelendar] [@dabombjk] [@blackpanther]
