A polite, seemingly-kind woman with an ever-present smile as radiant as the sun itself, there are many who would describe Yuuka as a pleasant, if seemingly-weak youkai. And just as many would cry themselves to sleep for the next decade upon hearing her name. Funnily enough, there's a lot of overlap with this particular opinion, despite the lack of any serious incidents involving herself. In recent memory, anyway.
Despite the polite, even charming personality she often shows on her visits to the human village, a few select others may be aware of Yuuka's tendency to lie for no particular reason, even if it incriminates herself as the world's most dangerous enemy. For the sake of amusement, Yuuka will exaggerate, fabricate and twist the truth if the results are fun enough, but has mostly been content with tending to Gensokyo's plant life. By the way, don't even so much as look at a flower funny in her presence. Yuuka is more than happy to show you where her reputation for sadism comes from.
If there's one constant with Yuuka - or at least, a front no one has seen dropped - it's that she boasts immense confidence in her abilities. Nothing will intimidate her, no one can threaten her, and all living creatures in existence shall tremble before her. Probably. Maybe. If she's up to playing a villain that day.

[*][b]Species:[/b] Youkai[s]/eldritch horror[/s]

[*][b]Abilities:[/b]
Flower Manipulation - It's... well, she can do stuff with flowers. Make them move a bit, make a garden bloom... luckily, there seems to be no sign of a 'turn into a flower-themed abomination born from the deepest pits of despair and anguish' function.
Her physical abilities are also noted to be exceptionally high, compared to other youkai.
Finally, though not her own ability, she does carry a parasol sturdy enough to block danmaku.

Universe's best gardener.
Possibly Gensokyo's second-best liar.
Is very good at being terrifying no matter what her words and actions may be.

[*][b]Brief Backstory:[/b]
The most notable thing Yuuka has been involved in was the flower-blooming incident that had nothing to do with her, shockingly enough. Still didn't stop her fooling around for a bit, however. Since then, she's done little aside from visit the village, mildly tease a few youkai or wandering humans, and attend the occasional party at Hakurei Shrine.

A youkai with a love for competition, a desire to win, and an inexplicable fondness for old Japanese cartoons depicting hot-blooded heroes yelling enemies into submission, Shujiko can be a... little bit odd for a youkai. She doesn't seem to prey on humans at all, and as far as her hobbies are concerned, is a borderline-otaku when it comes to anime. Despite her usually-cheerful and optimistic manner, she's taken a bit of a cynical turn with a lack of worthy opponents to challenge in the Outside World. Luckily, Gensokyo is quickly remedying that little problem.
Shujiko is a fairly sociable creature, friendly to virtually everyone, even if her desire for a good fight may portray her as a battle-hungry idiot with a one-track mind, or maybe even a masochist. Which is not true, of course - win or lose, Shujiko just wants a fight to rival the epicness of her favourite shows. Funnily enough, she is relatively easy to fluster, sometimes.

[*][b]Abilities:[/b]
Undying Will - With the kind of resolve one would expect from a shonen hero, Shujiko will never back down or stop, even if she suffered fatal damage - which is pretty hard to do when you're a youkai and in Gensokyo, anyway. Relatedly, her hair and eyes shift to blonde/gold when her desire to win burns strongly.
Of course, she is capable of flight, and has recently learned how to conduct danmaku duels, as well. She is incredibly average at best, power-wise, so even if she's as stubborn as a fairy about staying down, she probably lacks the power to properly whittle down most superior opponents.

Can perfectly recite the dialogue of her favourite battle scenes
Uh... there isn't much else of note she can do, aside from fight.

[*][b]Brief Backstory:[/b]
A youkai that's recently moved to Gensokyo in the hopes of relieving the immense boredom and lethargy that's saddled her mind recently. It's incredibly difficult to find a suitable opponent when your sheer tenacity is often enough to make others surrender, nevermind finding someone capable of fighting even an unremarkable youkai like herself. Despite her relatively short time within the boundary, Shujiko's usual cheerful optimism has bubbled back to the surface, and with new knowledge of Gensokyo's battles, is seeking out fun opponents to play with.
