Actually, its not entirely robotic.
The first picture would be kinda of a "suit of armor" of sorts, its connected to the character's own body, so all in all the armor is part of him. He can "take it off" (it would kinda "retract" to his body.  whenever he wants, but the armor helps him to use his abilities to the maximum and some other nice "functionalities" the armor has. basically its an android. (I don't know how to draw, so I cant do anything about the robot-like arms from the first picture so just ignore it XD)

About the arms, it would be something like this

About the face, its a helmet.

What I had planned is something like:

Maybe someone with powers like super speed or something like that. Due to an infortunate accident involving his/her powers, his/her body was almost completely destroyed. Someone who knew about his/her power, thought that it would be a waste to let such power go to waste (lets say... super speed: The character ran so fast that its body couldn't take the pressure) , so reconstructed his/her body in order to look like it was completely human (synthetic skin & such), and trained him/her for its own purposes... Maybe hunt another gifted. The tweak is that the character himself doesn't know that it is not completely human, and doesn't know anything about what happened with him before he "woke up" in a hospital/lab. Again, he/she has no idea that its body is not entirely human, its skin is warm and just like normal skin, nothing different at all from a human (apart from the implants on his/her back. A considerable amount of his/her body is cybernetic though. She/he doesn't get ill, his/her wounds cure themselves in a couple of minutes (some hours the bigger ones.) but to him/her its completely normal, as him/her doesn't have memories from its "past life" and it was told that him/her is different because is part of his/her powers.
