The Ladies of Mary 'are known to help out those who are homeless, helpless and in need of guidance.' Would it be possible that they also helped someone and trained him a bit in their ways of fighting without ultimately accepting him as a member ? (I'm assuming that their name in fact implies that they don't accept males in their ranks)

The background of my question is that I've a character concept in hold (that once originated from another RP that suddenly had to be discontinued) a major influence of the Ladies of Mary would perfectly fit for (in my thinking).
