[@Arawak] Same as if they encountered them in other systems. Shadow Protocol. Everything would go dark. Military stationed on the planet would kill the Faith Transmission Network. Think of it as if they are suddenly cutting the power. The Asiv used to gather the power will be put in a deep, underground bunker heavily guarded by highly trained Umbeliar and Yvuïn warriors. The ships located there would be forced to jump or do an emergency jump (which damages their Enlightenment engines to such an extent that they must dock with an orbital gantry to get it repaired). Those who can't do an emergency jump must fly as far away as possible from the insurgency point before their EE is powered up enough. I fully realize that this is a less than desired method. Civilians would panic and cause massive amounts of chaos. No way they wouldn't appear on any average sensor array but they'd look unorganized and uncivilized. Still, ships might have been scanned or long-distance sensors may have caught the Asivar Theocracy. Still, the first response would be to hide as much as possible during the first Insurgency. From then they'll send out a Seer Probe periodically (ever 1 hour) to do long distant scans. Every time they'll get closer and closer, before they turn back and warp out. Eventually, if nobody committed any hostilities (showing off your weapons is considered the logical step. Maybe even firing warning shots. But should they hit the Seer Drone the situation changes (depending on scanner data, after how many hours and if they landed on the planet). After 24 hours a single Prophet-class will warp in and try to make contact. Mostly for the sake of the planet below. Should no hostilities be shown at the Prophet-class then the planet's Shadow state will be lifted and the cleanup there begins.
I'm game, though it'd be awhile before I could get a post up. They take time, and I'm hanging out with my friends today. But man, the Simulacrum are gonna be horrified by, like everyone. It seems like half the nations in the RP have no problem butchering innocent civilians.
The main pop of the Theocracy is actually Surrear. Which are fragile and cannot use Faith (only help generate it). Their only advantage is that there are many. Only a few Yvuïn colonies or mixed colonies have been set up (as they are a relatively new race in the Theocracy). So when the pop gets killed, it's mostly Surrear. Asiv, and Umbeliar by extension, by default, don't give a shit about the Surrear. Heresy, on the other hand, is a big problem. All tech rests upon the strange concept of Faith. Pop is just a group of people that can be replaced. Heresy is an idea that can stray millions from the right way of thinking. Making the Theocracy collapse. In other words, you gotta root that out before it's too late. [@Arawak] Eh man, the Asiv want nothing but peace. No, actually, that's not true. They want everyone to bow to them and revere them like gods. Do that, and you can be on your merry way. Oh but don't think that they aren't gods. Or anything like that. That's Heresy. Don't do Heresy? Oh and for those new races they'll be encountering? Oh just misguided fools. They'll learn! (As you can guess, first diplomatic requests will be allowing Yvuïn and Umbeliar to preach their faith in your space. Allow that and you're all good with them! (for then))
