That feeling is to be expected in an RP of this nature. Over time you will get used to the ambiguity and hopefully begin to revel in the freedom to do whatever you like.  

At the moment, we are all unable to adventure any further than the areas described in the IC post for [url=http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/3897675]Central City[/url]. But if you check your character's "Official Stats" located within the first OOC post, you will find a handy dandy item. (I guess May's parents were looking out for her after all.) 

Walk around Central City. Talk to neighbors. Explore the caves and the mountains. Meet as many Pokemon as you like. Maybe even try to encounter one of the other trainers. Take as much time as you like picking out your first Pokemon; each post you do in the mean time will earn you at least one Trainer Point. And always remember to revisit your "Official Stats" in the OOC post often, I will keep it up to date as well as I can. 

In the future, I will add events. But I will always want the joy of exploration to be enjoyed just as much as chasing after hard lined goals.
