[@BlackPanther][@Melo][@Dusksong] [@Melo] My reasoning for spirits being able to interact with the living as in the more magical eras this would be commonplace, whereas if magic was dwindling (e.g. our modern day setting, for example) the best they could do is push over a jar or make a room cold. [@Dusksong] Thankyou so much! That is absolutely perfect! I think yours and [@BlackPanther]'s sickly idea work wonderfully together. Players would be able to spend points to interact with the world, take temporary coroporeal form, ect. with bigger actions taking more points. In earlier eras it wouldn't be so bad, but in later low-magic eras it could cost 2 points to do something really small but meaningful. Furthermore, I think the sickly thing would be a really good bonus cost. Say, for example, you were going to use a bunch of WP to do something really difficult - that would mean next era, you die really early again (which would be a problem if this happened alot) instead you could suffer 1 WP point plus a malady/wound/ect on your next life. This could be something like losing a limb, being mute, pyromania ect. I'd probably give you a short list of stuff to chose from and you'd have to pick a minimum of one. I may actually introduce that as an optional mechanic in "normal" play - in a couple of lives' time i'll allow people to take a negative trait in exchange for bonus willpower for use in that life.
Just confirming: Is willpower the same thing as life force/ability use points?
