Collab with [@memetrash101] Joseph had being running for far too long. He must have over shot the mine at some point and was now in a clump of bushes. He stuck his foot out in front of him and skidded to a halt. He brushed the dirt off of his legs and placed his hands on his knees. He moved a strand of hair away from his face and looked around. He could see nothing even related to a path or a mineshaft. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. 9 missed calls. He sighed and placed it back in his pocket. He'd supposed he'd been gone a while and his aunt was just worried. He was far too fatigued for another run, so he started to walk through the trampled bushes, hoping to at least find a path. Violet watched as a blur passed underneath her and seemed to come to a stop in the bushes a short ways off. She quickly stood up on the branch she had been sitting in, grabbed the iron bar that had several backpacks and a guitar case attached to it, and jumped across the treetops until she was standing above the mystery... thing. The thing she now could see was a human boy who seemed to be lost, and had apparently been running at some ludicrous speed. She quickly placed the bar on the back of her neck, just under her sweatshirt's hood and just above her shoulders, letting her power keep it in place in case she needed both of her hands for what she was about to do. Violet turned around to face away from the boy and quickly did a short semi-flip that resulted in her hanging upside down from the branch by the tops of her feet. "Yo." She said flatly. Joseph was really not expecting a girl to be hanging from a tree branch. He was startled to say the least. "Uh, hello?" She seemed fairly young, 15 or 16 if he had to guess. Then it hit him, he looked at the trampled bushes behind him, then back at the girl. He pointed his thumb over his shoulder. "I'm guessing you saw all of that." He sighed and placed his hands in his hoodie pockets. He glanced at his feet momentarily then back up at the girl. He curled his mouth into a half smile. "I'm Joseph. Nice to meet you, I guess." He stuck out his hand awkwardly for her to shake. She stared at his hand for a moment before holding her own hand out and shaking his surprisingly well considering she was upside down. She then gestured to herself and that she was hanging upside down. "I'm Batman." she said nonchalantly. "Do you have any idea how fast you were going back there, sir?" He smiled, deciding to play along. "Sorry sir, my wife just went into labour, I have to get her to the hospital. Please don't take me to GCPD." He looked at his feet and chuckled at his joke, then back up at Violet. "So, Are you gonna tell me your secret identity?" "What a terrible political decision, you're better off going to a psych ward." she replied, doubting Joseph would understand her British humor. "I'll tell you who I am when you tell me what the rush was for. And why you're able to break the speed limit like that." Violet used her power to let her feet slide off the branch and flipped to land on her feet before turning back to face him again. Joseph laughed awkwardly. "Well, you see, the thing is... I actually have no idea. It just kind of... Happened." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I was at this gala in Atlanta and I tried to run back into the building, and, BOOM! I'm the Flash all of a sudden." The girl stared at him for a few moments. "Violet." she finally said. "What are you doing way out here? Not exactly a sightseeing hotspot..." He smiled, she seemed like a nice enough girl, Joseph couldn't see a reason why not to tell her, he pointed over to Nobles. "I got told about some people that were by some mineshaft this way. There's a kid in town with some serious wounds and I need medical supplies to patch him up. You wouldn't happen to know where they are would you?" Thoughts began flashing through Violet's mind. People moved into the mine? Suspicious. They must have just come in today... A group would imply that that they're led by someone local, information about the town doesn't specify whether the mine is worthwhile to hide in. Legal trouble? Did someone track me and sneak in to try to jump me? Well, a smart rat could steal the cheese without getting killed, but... Now there's a bystander. I could use him to try to spring it, but he's more useful as a subject alive. And if they're after me specifically, then that would just risk him in crossfire. Besides, armed enemies could be a good test after the last few days... After a couple of seconds she decided on an approach. "Yeah, follow me. I'd give you some of the supplies I have, but I might need them later." Violet began leading him towards the mine. Joseph was slightly taken a back. He managed to keep it hidden but his mind was racing. Some random girl shows up, see's him doing his Flash thing and then suddenly wants to help him. She seemed legit, but he had his suspicions about Violet. He nodded and readjusted his back pack, he looked down at his shoes and sighed at the frictions marks on the soles. This was not going to be easy to explain to his Aunt Carla. He could picture it now. 'Joseph, are these burn marks?'. He smiled to himself and jogged to catch up with Violet, careful not to activate his powers. He did not need to trip on any more rocks.
