She laughed as he said that Lady Luck was with him when he met her. "You say that now. I know quite a few folks who might disagree." She laid her head back and closed her eyes listening to the howls. She was playing a mental game with herself, one she played often. She tried to count the infected by the sounds she heard. She could usually get it right to within one or two. She lifted her head when he asked her name. "I'm Ray. I'm mighty glad that you and your dog were out here today. I thought for sure I was a goner." She said quietly. She hated admitting that. For years she felt practically invincible. Run through enough shit, and everyone starts feeling that way. Now, though, She knows that she is as screwed as the rest of them if something goes wrong.
