Mark slowly shrugged and shook his head. "I'm still connected to reality, that much I know.Provided that this is reality and we're not all not going insane." Terrence reached over and patted Mark's right shoulder and spoke,"Hang in there, man.As long as we do what the man says and keep our wits we'll be cool.I promise." Mark glanced sideways at Terrence then over at Hazel before looking down at the floor. "I didn't want this,"he mumbled,"I just wanted us all to come up here and have fun.I didn't want this to turn into a twilight zone episode or a Stephen King movie.Paulie and Courtney both, dead." "We don't know that Paulie's dead.He might still be alive."Haley piped up nearby. Terrence lightly shook his head and softly responded to her,"Even if that thing didn't get him, it's below freezing out there, he's probably frozen to death. He shouldn't have clumb out the window." Mark stared blankly ahead now, at the far wall. Paulie was his best friend, and even though he had a lot of mental and emotional problems, he wasn't an idiot, not was he a terrible person. He didn't deserve any of this. Although Terrence is right.Only a fool would jump out of the window into the freezing climate while hearing gunshots outside to boot.
