He basically wrote

'If you want publicity, it's easier to do something dumb/stupid than to buy an ad. The reason is if I do something stupid as a leading figure, it'll be printed on the first page of every single large newspaper in the USA, let alone the world. Where as if I buy an ad, it'll cost me 100k for a small ad in the back of the paper that nobody reads.'

Motherfucker is basically the inventor of bad publicity = still publicity. 

And then you look at the things he says..

'MEXICO PAY FOR THE WALL' 

Guess where things like that get posted? Damn right. Page 1 of every single newspaper and website.

Not to mention that he also wrote that you should always aim high in the negotiations and then argue your way down. That way the middle ground is set much higher towards your actual goal.

Now think about why he wants Mexico to pay?
He'll probably downgrade that to 'we're gonna put a fence on the border that is higher, and we're gonna put more money into border control' rather than building an actual fucking wall.
