Pokemon Stats
I lied. I started exploring stats possibilities and I got really excited. :) Okay, so here is the stat explanation that is a no-brainer on the math because you're basically using a calculator that does the math for you. Base Stats. These are your starting stats and depending on what Pokemon you're role playing, you will use the level 1 stats of that respective mon. To get this base stats, we're going to be using this website: http://pokemondb.net/ (Pokemon Database.net) Edit: Also, if you just want to use Azurilland for the base stats, you can use that too. They have the same information. This website is posted just in case you want more information on the Pokemon you have chosen to play. This website has a search engine. Type your Pokemon's name in the search engine, and you will get all information about that Pokemon and its base stats.
Example!
MAGIKARP Level One Base Stats HP 20 Attack 10 Defense 55 Sp. Atk 15 Sp. Def 20 Speed 80 Experience 0/10

Visual provided by TalijaKey The experience bar for level one is 0/10. Anytime the Pokemon levels up, add 10 pts to it. So for level 2, the experience bar is 0/20. Level 3, 0/30, etc.
Stat Increase
[s]For Stat Increase, there's a handy-dandy website that we're going to use called: http://www.azurilland.com/tools/stat-calculator (Azurilland).[/s] Azurilland stat calculator is undergoing construction and updates. In the meantime, use this calculator: http://www.psypokes.com/dex/stats.php . You will type in that same Pokemon or select (typing is faster) into the Stat Calculator. Now you will notice that this calculator has personality traits called "Nature." You need to select whatever personality you gave your character. You also need to insert the level. Once you have those three sections filled out, simply press "Enter" and you'll get stats. We're going to use the "Max" stats to increase. Ignore the Zero Effort Value category and the Minimum Categories. Only use the points you get under 252+ EV Max because I like to think that all Pokemon will be busting their bums to succeed. Those points will determine how much your Pokemon increases. Once you have chosen a Nature for your Pokemon, you cannot change it and you will base all of your increases on that. Your Pokemon can improve in personality in game, but you will still use the "Nature" you started with.
Example!
MAGIKARP Level One Nature: Brave HP 20 (+12) 32 Attack 10 (+6) 16 Defense 55 (+7 62 Sp. Atk 15 (+6) 21 Sp. Def 20 (+6) 26 Speed 80 (+6) 86 Experience 0/10

Visual provided by TalijaKey Seems simple right? Just use the websites.
Special Items
Here is the ultimate list of items: http://pokemondb.net/item/all . Of course, we're probably not going to use all of them but some items increase the Pokemon's level and also can increase that Pokemon's specific stat. These items are rare and can be awarded during special circumstances in game.
