Hearing Claire's light-hearted warning, Joel smirked over in her direction and shrugged his shoulders idly. [color=554300][b]"Well, you could probably use some practice before your fight..."[/b][/color] He grinned, amused by her comment before he turned his gaze over toward the other two. He nodded in agreement to Alcander's suggestion that they make the birthdays a group thing, he may have not known the two particularly well, or in Cass' case, at all, but he always enjoyed a good party, and Joel figured with this bunch around, it would be quite the interesting one.

He turned his gaze back toward Amy as she spoke back toward him, pleased that for once he could finally, very clearly understand what she was saying. Joel had partially expected her to speak and him to revert back to a dumb tourist with no knowledge of the language. But he was getting the hang of it, slowly. He shrugged his shoulders toward her question, chuckling as he glanced back toward Claire.
