The Darkness fills your mind, and it becomes apparent that it is intrigued by life. Seeking to find out what life is, the Darkness found a host that it could use as a vessel. Starting it's journey, however, it found Life retreating from it at every point, dying out just as the Darkness arrived. Mephiles is apparently the first living being the darkness was able to invade without breaking it either mentally or physically, although even now Mephiles feels the strain on his body. Having the Darkness inside of him for any extended period of time would surely be fatal. The Darkness is new to thought, or communication, but these simple experiences and thoughts become apparent, in a rather simple mind, compared to the vastness of the being in itself.
