Hobnob and his crew happily gave their firearms to their taller companions before crossing the gully. They had encountered problems like the gully before, but didn't have people as tall as their current company to help them. Without a way to keep their guns dry, the gnomes had no alternative but to find another way around before. But with their newfound friends, an alternate route wasn't necessary for the gnomes this time.

Once they had their weapons back, Hobnob and his crew watched as Jex and Regeland headed into battle. As he watched, Hobnob switched on his heat vision to get a good view of the fighting without risking an arrow. After a few moments, Hobnob had picked out the bandit archers. "Alright lads" Hobnob said "Fall in on me and keep your heads down. We're taking down the bandit's fire support". With that said, Hobnob led his crew into the brush.

Using his heat vision, Hobnob kept himself and his crew out of the bandits' way while they approached a good firing position. While the gnomes weren't that good at stalking through the brush, all of the fighting served as a most excellent distraction to make up for it. Hobnob and his crew stopped upon reaching a well covered area that had a clear shot. "Alright" Hobnob said after ensuring that the archers were still focused on the main assault "When I give the word, fire a volley at the archers and then take cover". With that said, Hobnob drew 2 of his pistols and waited a few seconds before giving the word. At Hobnob's word, all 7 gnomes sprung up from cover and fired upon the archers before ducking back down again. "Let's hope we did some damage" Hobnob remarked.
