[indent]Brynn is a naturally shy person. She mostly keeps to herself, an introvert through and through. Her mouth rarely opens for those she doesn't know, although she enjoys speaking with her friends. Even her professors have a hard time drawing answers from her, although it's not uncommon for her to participate when it her grade hangs in the balance. When she is coerced into group activities with her friends, Brynn does her best to be inclusive, making sure everyone is involved. She does this at the exclusion of herself sometimes, although she doesn't mind. She'd much rather see everyone else having fun than participate herself. In fact, when she's not being anti-social, Brynn can actually be a rather warm, open person. She's more than willing to offer a shoulder and an ear to anyone who needs them, and is always there for her friends. She's loyal to a fault, something that she prides herself in, and is quite protective of her friends. She may not stand up for them vocally, but she finds other ways to watch out for others. True, these methods tend to be sneaky and sometimes a bit more underhanded than she'd like, but anything to help out a friend. In fact, Brynn has a fair sense of justice and vengeance when it comes to others who were wronged. She doesn't care about herself as much, viewing herself as outside of things. This can cause her some trouble, since she has a morbid curiosity, and is willing to follow things through no matter the outcome. She almost always ends up looking back at things she's done with regret, though, thanks to her own morality and her need for some sort of structured system of rules or laws. It's a never ending conflict of experimentation versus staying in line that she deals with on a regular basis.

Although Brynn is fairly quiet, she can have quite the temper on her. While setting her off not the easiest things in the world to do, it's also not terribly hard. When she is angry, Brynn finds herself not raising her voice, but instead focusing on something with great intensity and not letting it go. The rest of the time, though, she's fairly easy going. She's someone that can keep secrets, a trustworthy individual. In response, she generally trusts others and is deeply hurt when they betray that trust. She almost borders naive in that respect, although she likes to think she's a better judge of character than that. She likes to think a lot of things, really, and she doesn't budge from her thoughts. Indeed, Brynn is stubborn at times. She can be a hard head, unwilling to change her opinions on anything. She's also fairly absentminded, placing things down only to forget where she put them mere moments later. The two things that Brynn never forgets about are quidditch and homework, the two important things in her life that aren't her friends.[/indent]

[indent]Bronwyn seems to find her hair fascinating, and she tends to play with it a lot. Usually it's not bad, but it gets worse when she's in deep thought. She finds that keeping her hands busy with hair helps calm her down and lets her sort out her thoughts. She also tends to make an odd face when she is debating something: her mouth raises up on one side, her eyebrows pop up and sometimes her eyes get just a tad bit wider. It's quite the sight to see. She has very active hands, and usually has some sort of silver coin to keep them occupied. When they don't have anything in them, they tend to tap out beats and rhythms. She does this for the same reason she plays with her hair, in addition to the fact that she enjoys hearing the beats actually tapped out.[/indent]

[indent]Brynn is honorable and fiercely loyal to her friends. She goes out of her way to help those in need, especially if she can be uniquely suited to help. She believes in the potential of people to achieve things and to overcome their struggles if they have the will, and is a level-headed and reliable giver of advice. She values and exhibits fairness in most things she does, although perhaps not in words. She is determined and hard-working to achieve goals. Brynn feels strongly about her passions and beliefs and will do what it takes to follow through, and she has great inner strength.
is smart, and tries her best to share this with others. She has learned a lot from reading books, and will not hesitate to share her massive collection with others should they need it. Although she doesn't have the courage to stand up for others, she does find ways to get back at tormentors who mess with her friends. She is loyal to a fault when it comes to the people she's let in. She does everything she can to help others when they are struggling. The girl is honest, but not brutally so. Lying has never been one of Brynn's strong points, but she also doesn't want to offend anyone. This has gotten her in trouble at times, but for the most part it has been something that she has been proud of, even if others aren't. Brynn works hard for things, be they school related or something else entirely. She doesn't take much for granted and can get annoyed with those who do.[/indent]

Brynn also tends to over think things as well, and by the time she knows what she should do, the time to act has passed. When Brynn is depressed or angry, instead of letting it out on something, she tends to withdraw, and tries to find escape in books among other things. If this doesn't work, the pent up energy will sometimes cause her to be on edge, which may lead to a fight. Although Brynn is smart, she tends to be a bit absentminded, and sometimes doesn't think before she asks questions. She can be headstrong where her friends or family are concerned, often acting without thinking about the consequences. This also comes from her stubbornness. Although when she gets truly angry Brynn withdraws, she gets mildly irritated easily, and more often than not has to reign that in. Brynn is morbidly curious, to the point where it sometimes gets the best of her. When Brynn can be overconfident at times, and even cocky when it comes to certain things. If she thinks that she will win, she will make or take almost any bet.[/indent]

Having found it much easier and preferable to keep his emotions internalized, he is often expressionless, exuding mostly an air of observation and thought. His brothers' teasing taught him to hide his emotions well so they don't display on his face, except for when he wants them to. When he is happy, he perhaps moves a little more and may have an upward curve to his lips; when he is hurt, he may just look more blank than usual, and this may be the extent of his body language unless the emotions are extremely strong. Probably the most defined part of his face are his eyes, which stand out darkly in his face below eyebrows often furrowed in thought, although they don't tend to show any more expression than the rest of his features, which are a mixture of parallel lines and angles.[/indent]

[indent]Nathaniel wants to be a hero, someone that everyone knows and reveres. But barring that, he’s willing to be a sort of dark knight. As the youngest of six and constantly disregarded, Nathaniel is independent and desperate to prove himself, wanting to show his personal talent and leave a legacy behind in the minds of everyone. But he’s not brash. He is content to observe and work quietly, and he’s very intelligent, which is no small aid. He thinks before he acts and is adept at seeing all sides and analyzing situations so he can act to his best advantage. He wants to be something and make something of himself; proving himself better than anyone could have expected is one of his highest priorities. However, as intellectually mature as he may be, Nathaniel is still young and still learning. There is much he doesn’t understand and his social skills need work. He has somewhat of a low tolerance for certain people and is dismissive of those who are loud, unsubtle, and quick to offer opinions for everything. Nevertheless, other people are often "entitled" to his opinion in the form of his biting sarcastic remarks. Other than that he is a quiet and even somewhat withdrawn boy. While he enjoys the company of some of his friends, solitude is a balm for him. He has to be able to think and study. 

Nathaniel is a knowledge seeker. He is one of those people who believe that knowledge and intelligence are central to success and power, so many things fascinate him and he can easily be found reading and studying even when he is done working on a project. In his mind no fact or understanding of a process or a tendency is unimportant or useless, and may help a person when they least expect it to. As such, he can usually provide extra information on most any subject, even if he gives it in a condescending manner. He is proud of what he knows, both the facts and the underlying understanding of how things work. Interestingly, though, Nathaniel’s quiet, studious exterior hides somewhat of a rebellious and unconventional streak. He likes to go his own way and will do it willingly. He also respects authority, but follows rules when it suits him—in other words, most of the time, but not if he has something else in mind that he deems worth the risk of losing points or perhaps damaging his image a little. However, as important as that is to him, these moments come very rarely. More frequently his unconventionality is manifested in an experimentative tendency.

Nathaniel loves a challenge and he loves besting people, but it is usually a private victory for him. He needs not brag and draw attention to his success as long as he knows personally that he has won.  However, this is not to say what he doesn’t need others’ acclaim. Being noticed is important to him, and he hates being ignored, but he would rather people notice by themselves how outstanding he truly is. That being said, criticism tends to bounce off of him as well--he is rather selective about what he hears and chooses to take to heart. Despite a sometimes ungracious manner, and a self-preserving and self-benefiting attitude, the boy is not bad at heart. He would always stick up for those he considers his friends, and is not averse to helping even strangers, after he is finished or providing it doesn’t inconvenience him. But when he is hurt, it is common to find him completely withdrawn and intractable, working only for himself in a kind of cool temper that can take a while to thaw out, even with the efforts of his closest friends. Unfortunately, Nathaniel is also prone to hold grudges after problems with others, and he is stubborn about them, though adaptable in other situations.

Nathaniel is a careful and patient boy. He’ll watch and wait for a long time with an observant and analyzing eye without feeling a need to do anything himself, gaining something from everything he sees. Not only that, he’s good at making what he sees help him in some way. He’s also good at using all the resources he can to help him achieve whatever goal he has in mind. Nathaniel is driven and works diligently to achieve any goal he’s set for himself, and places these goals above most other things. As such, he’s very organized; he hates clutter and his personal space, personal appearance, and his management of time and such are all very neat and organized, often following a schedule or other method of keeping everything in its proper place and time. It bothers him when things aren’t set out clearly and prioritized so they can be followed right. He’s a very good multi-tasker and his organization helps him make sure everything gets accomplished exactly when and how he planned it to. If it doesn't, he'll fix it until it does.[/indent]

He also has an Orcadian dialect that, while usually muted, gets very prominent when his emotions are getting the better of him, making it even worse for those arguing with him to understand him. [indent]Nathaniel is a highly intelligent and rational boy who can sort fact from fiction and quickly grasp concepts when they are presented to him. He is patient and careful in what he does, not one to lightly make mistakes, and he works diligently at something until it gets done, and done well. He knows how to use every resource he can to achieve or learn something, whether they be books, people, or experience. He is independent and takes initiatives on his own when he has goals in mind. Nathaniel is also loyal to his friends, as long as they are people he can respect.[/indent]

[indent]Nathaniel has a self-preservative instinct he'll hold to above general decency, unless the person in question is someone he cares about. He can be a little jealous of attention or accolades given to others and may also hold grudges for a long time, especially against those he doesn't know very well. While he is withdrawn, perhaps overly so, making it difficult for him to relate to others at times, he is often quite bitingly sarcastic out of nowhere, even when uncalled for. While he is very good at waiting for the right opportunity to do something, the boy is somewhat impatient with others and expects them to not waste time. He's also a touch judgmental, not based on prejudices but on first impressions of people. Nathaniel's independence also pushes him to the limits of authority.[/indent]
