RB: Yes it was. They died because you did something outside of mission bounds to be a good person.  Meet me there on time or do this mission yourself.

Hey Barat. Sorry I wasn't able to give you an update sooner, the new crew, Vellios, and I have been busy bees making sure we have a working ship. The new crew is an even more varied and 'interesting' bunch than before. Though, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, given the job offer. The ship is a complete piece of shit. You'd be smacking me upside the head if you saw the state it was in, cursing me as a fool for taking it. You know me. Naive and stupidly hopeful to the end. This crew seems better than the last. Actual bonds have aleady began forming, and we've only been together about a week. There's even another Krogan! And he's kinda like you. He thinks more than a normal Krogan, and keeps his range in check, like you. However, unlike you, he doesn't act like a normal Krogan to throw people off (and I think I can get him to play chess with me! He might even have the patience you didn't have for it.). 

I think I'm going to end up regretting these bonds soon though. I made a bet with another mechanic that I could beat her in chess. Easy enough, she's barely played before. But I recently noticed Vellios sending her tips and tricks to beat me, the bastard. So I might end up getting regrettably drunk and making a fool out of myself (again.) Wish me luck!
