Leisy Takigawa
After Leisy had let the new pokemon she'd caught out, she’d taken the liberty to take a walk along the stream with her pokedex out. Orange otter pokemon splashed around in the stream alongside horned red-and-white goldfish. Leisy’s pokedex informed her that the pokemon were named Buizel and Goldeen respectively, noting little quirks about the two species that she absorbed greedily. Water pokemon are so playful, Leisy thought as she stared at the pokemon swirling around in place and performing tricks for each other underwater. But, Bidein’s great too, the girl thought, looking at the bird pokemon through the corner of her eye. He was quiet and careful—the perfect travel companion. As she walked, Leisy realized that Bidein’s weight on her shoulder had become natural. The robin weighed barely anything compared to the pokemon her parents had owned. The family Skitty was the smallest of the bunch, but even the cat weighed a significant amount more than the Fletchling that was currently preening itself on Leisy’s shoulders. ”Do you have anywhere you want to go?” Leisy asked the pokemon on her shoulder. Bidein ruffled his feathers and settled itself down on her shoulder, which Leisy took to be a no. The girl paused to give the Fletchling a look. ”No friends in the woods you want to say ‘bye’ to?” The robin gave his feathers another puff of no, and Leisy didn’t push it. ”Let’s drop by Central City to get some supplies before heading out to the mountains then,” Leisy said. ”It'll be a long walk, but I need more supplies before I can start up the mountain.” The sound of a beak chattering through the dark told Leisy the bird pokemon agreed.
