Chizuru stands at about 160 centimeters, fairly tall for her far-eastern genes. She is broad shouldered and was once quite muscular, though now only hints of that heavy build remain. Her body was almost entirely modified and enhanced, with an obvious purpose in mind - making the super-soldier of the future. Many of the armored cybernetic enhancements attached or built into her body are experimental and appear as such, making her appear as if she's wearing a strange enviromental body-suit. The outer armored layer can be detached for upgrades and maintenance, leaving behind a body ravaged by surgery and technology. It is a gruesome sight, though Chizuru does not seem to be embarrassed or otherwise phased by it. Her most outstanding features are her grey dead-looking skin and her eyes - black orbs with small red dots glowing inside.
Background:
The technological monstrosity dubbed "Iron" was once a curious little girl who wished to uncover the mysteries of humanity. She showed a strong tendency towards psychology and communication when she was young, but her dreams took a slight turn by the end of school - she could not stand idly by as the evil side of humanity continued to rack up victims. It was an extremely romantic path towards the studies of criminology and the successive enrollment into the Nagasaki Conglomerate's Office of Internal Security, but her perseverance and natural talent has won against all Murphy-induced plots to make her "fall in love and pursue more practical and homely dreams instead", as her parents used to preach. By the age of 20 she had finished all academic requirements to pursue her career as an intelligence officer, and while she was not the best of her class, her innocence and honesty had moved her up the ranks instead. Indeed, she was in the position she wanted, respected and loved by her coworkers, her greatest worry while laughing the evenings away with her friends from work being how she would gain a man's attention while being so nerdy. Everything changed, of course, after the Three Day War.

In the aftermath, most of the internal security's resources were pledged into damage control and catering to the psychologically unstable civilian population. Chizuru's dreams and goals crumbled in front of her eyes, to be replaced by one far more vague and hopeless. Indeed, despite of humanity's shortcomings, instability and gluttony, they were not truly evil. There was nothing, nothing more despicable and vile than a life form that destroys before understanding, without making any attempt at anything else. The young woman's psyche whined under the strain of such an impossible enemy. Her will slowly cracking, she would've soon found herself among those whose minds were not able to withstand the pure horror of the Three Day War, and were to be forever confined in rooms with padded walls. The entirety of humanity felt that strain, which is why in the months to come every single corporation in the Conglomerate began to spout out ideas of handling the threat of the Devastators should they return. Some were aimed outwards, talking of advanced weaponry, communications, alert systems. Some were aimed inwards, towards saving the population. Most of these ideas were hopeless nonsense, but their presence somehow saved Chizuru, and put her on another path - To find the plan that had the best chance to work, and join it. Naturally the "ideas" the public saw and those Internal Security had access to were completely different, and since it was obvious to everyone they were working against an unknown clock, even the craziest ideas would get some sort of budget and a kick-start of resources. But almost all of these projects required some kind of scientific background, usually extremely advanced and specific, even for the assembly line workers. She kept looking, growing more restless and daring, suicidal one might even say, by the day.

One project broke through this long streak of frustration - a strange super-soldier program that required no background other than some basic physical conditioning that Chizuru upheld anyway. It was secret, and dubbed highly suicidal, but at this point the young woman was in a psychological corner and this was the only way out. They had tried to hide their laugh when she applied. She demanded to be tested. The tests breathed a new life into her - she suddenly had a concrete goal to work towards. Somehow the fact it was all experimental with a high chance of failure was hidden by the wish to have something to work towards. Humanity will win, definitely. Even if she would sacrifice her entire being for it. They had dubbed her "Iron", for her sheer willpower. The company working on the project was a new merge between a weapons production company and the leading facility of cybernetics in the Conglomerate. Their idea was as simple as it was crazy - create a human weapon to fight off the invading aliens. A small, undetectable, ridiculously powerful infiltration force to destroy their ships from within. Their idea of the actual equipment of this force was very fluid, and the project took many turns in the years it took to complete. The participants would decrease in number every year, and by the beginning of the testing stage were completely separated, either to test new and forbidden technologies, or simply to hide how few they were in the end. Chizuru didn't care. She didn't care about anything other than the project. The conditioning, the numerous surgeries, the testing broke her mind, but somehow not her body. At this point they continued her program only because they realized they had no choice and she was a worthy sacrifice for the sake of humanity. She agreed with them, to a point - she will survive. And unleash the full ingenuity of the human race into the face of these pointlessly aggressive assailants. And then, ten years after the Three Day War, Project Daedalus was scrapped.

Humanity has taken the easy way out. To escape impending doom. Impending doom? That definition was nothing but a choice, done by those unworthy of deciding anything. Yet they were now taking the best and brightest and leaving the rest to their fate. It was artificial doom, the same as the mass euthanasia that was suggested by some neurotic visionary in the aftermath of the war. But if humanity is abandoning Earth, this does not mean they cannot fall victim to another assault. They must be defended. It was pure irony. They had given her the technology to discover the project once she got suspicious of the pulling of funds from Project Daedalus, but once she had contacted her previous contacts from Internal Security, they had refused her because she could not reproduce anymore. Refused? They could not refuse. They had given her the technology to override this decision, to stowaway on the Ark and plant herself in the database of the maintenance crew of the ship. This would do, for a start.
Psychological Profile:

Exoskeletal Defense: When fully equipped, Chizuru is vulnerable only to anti-armor conventional weaponry. The armor doesn't help against cybernetic attacks and the like.
Exoskeletal Strength: Chizuru is probably ten times stronger than a normal human, and much more impervious.
Tech Interface: Chizuru's body is equipped with most normal interfaces for computers and less advanced machinery. She has most standard tools at her disposal at all times, as well as hidden melee weapons that can withstand her strength.
Extra-Atmospheric Survival: Chizuru can survive in space for a short amount of time. Anything "easier" than space (such as just no air or just no pressure) can be handled for longer periods.
Stealth: Using training and technology, Chizuru may break into defended installations, disable security and so on. This does not work against highly advanced security system.
Criminology Specialization: Sometimes, Chizuru can recall her previous life, and use her academic knowledge to gain an advantage on anyone with criminal tendencies.

Damaged Regeneration: In order to take in all cybernetic modifications, Chizuru's natural immune and regeneration systems had to be toned down. Due to this, she heals much slower than normal people, can get more complications from simple illnesses, and may die from wounds that bypass her armor if not treated.
One-Track Mind: Any and all actions done by Chizuru is meant to forward her goals. She sounds like a sociopath in one-on-one interactions, and probably is one.
Technology-dependent Body: Chizuru had some of her vital organs replaced. While she needs very little food and water due to her highly efficient metabolism, she has to sleep and recharge. And if something in her body malfunctions, lack of maintenance may lead to death.
Lack of Combat Experience: Chizuru is like a huge battle tank driven by a ten year old. She has a very large variety of tools at her disposal, but no experience in using them other than the training she received. There is very little chance she would be able to win against an opponent that can penetrate her armor, without receiving instructions from some external source.

Psychographic Profile:

After completing the Daedalus program, Chizuru has left most of her old life behind. Her only belongings are the detachable pieces of her "body".

Humanity must be defended against the Devastators. To that end, no challenge is too great, no tears are too important to shed, and all sacrifice are worthy to be made. One must always sharpen their proverbial knives towards the next destined clash.

One of the side-effects of prolonged exposure to ever-changing technology is obsession, especially with upgrades or new tools. The idea that the body can be made better with external sources forces the user of such extensive cybernetics to always search for new opportunities to gain better abilities and tools.

The single most important tool for one to force their way against such hardships towards their goal is a one-track mind. One can't help but wonder sometimes whether there was a better way to work towards saving humanity, an easier, perhaps more natural way than becoming a martyr of technology. Such thoughts, if left unchecked, may make one's whole world come crashing down on them.

Code Word: Pain Apples
