Sparhawk sized up the little girl before him.
Nah. She wasn't worth it. And there was no way she'd be able to take on that monster. Hence why she climbed in.

Sparhawk gave her an unimpressed stare.

"Keep it. I don't eat them." He told her simply, then walked past her and shut the window.

"You can stay until the dog is gone." He told her. She was lucky. If she had been another boy, he would have kicked her out right then and there. He disappeared down the hatch again, though he had left it open.

"Well hurry up then, before someone looks in through the window and sees us!" He growled.
