I think it's also slowly becoming more apparent that Vedika's chipper attitude may be the result of her having slightly different values than others.  What I'm going for is a sort of 'zen', a transcendental emptiness and oneness that can under certain conditions be as cold as the void of space. I also actually want her powers to have a mental/spiritual aspect to it, though she has no idea about it.  I described her powers using several 'terms' in quotations in the CS, and if you know what those are, you'll probably get a sense of what I'm going for.  Part of it involves completely isolating her sense of 'self' from all 'others' (because no barrier is more absolute than the conceptual barrier between 'self' and 'other'), which would mean that at some point her barrier might protect her from mind reading and potentially spiritual possession, which I understand if [@Caits], [@KiritoAsuna], [@TheMerlinHawk] and [@Natsu] might object to.
