Not sure how I feel about anti-mater based energy only fifty years into the future, but I do like the a heavier emphasis on nuclear power.

If we are going to involve energy weapons, they should be difficult to obtain, as you said.  They should also be prototypes, and in general, pieces of crap to try and use and maintain (in my opinion).

Do our characters have any affiliation to any of these factions, or are we own our own?  How many of these factions exist?  How do they interact with each other?

Also, has anyone else contacted you privately to show interest, or is it just you and me so far?
