As the Watchers left the court room, Aenwyn was disturbed by the news that vampires were sighted in Talmaria. The Wood Elves were devastated during the war, there was no questioning that. But for vampires to be sighted within, something must have went very wrong in the past 5 years. What happened to the Wood Elves after the war? When did communication cease with other nations? How much of a footing did these creatures of the dark have in Talmaria?  

Surely Tabetha Lockwell, a former captain of the Order, would send for aid even if she did "retire" unless there were circumstances preventing them. Aenwyn frowned. She did not expect her return to her homeland to be rather dire. Aenwyn needed to know. This mission just became personal for her. 

She walked towards Evelyn Sunderland and gave a small bow. "Lady Sunderland, you've mentioned that you have a report. I would like to see its contents. I've talked with many people since my arrival and all of them say the same thing. Talmaria has gone silent and no one knows where the Wood Elves went. For an entire nation to vanish, it is unbelievable. 5 years ago it would be unthinkable for those creatures of the night to even set foot in our domain. Have you heard anything from Tabetha Lockwell? She is a close friend friend of mine and was once under your command. Last I spoke with her was 5 years ago before she went back with the Wood Elves to our lands."
