Korie Weiss
Within just a few minutes of picking up her fork, Korie was introduced to yet another new face. One who pegged her as Liam’s girlfriend. Korie’s eyes widened in surprise, momentarily stunned. Is that how easily people hooked up around here? By talking and eating lunch together? Looking over at Liam, Korie’s shock melted into amusement. The boy’s ears had flushed a cherry red—a telling sign that such accusations did not often fly his way. Korie sat back and let Liam try and explain the situation, stifling a laugh. So cute! she thought, unable to help a grin. ”And, unfortunately, we’re not dating,” Korie added with a grin, looking at the newest member of the table. ”Why? Worried that you won’t have a chance?” A shuffle came from Alister’s side of the table as the black notebook disappeared from the table. Clearly Alister didn’t want the girl to know about the “observations” he’d been making, but before Korie could produce a coherent thought Alister’s eyes flashed and he doubled over with pain, gripping his head as if in the throes of a massive headache. ”Alister?” Korie asked in concern, hesitantly reaching out a hand. However, Alister recovered quickly, straightening up with a curious look over his face. His eyes felt different, but their color was normal. His pupils, however, had dilated to a… A sliver? Korie thought in confusion, eyebrows scrunching as she stared at the bespectacled boy. Just as quickly, the odd-shaped pupils were gone, replaced by circular human ones. Korie was silent as Alister spoke, at a loss for what to say. She was by no means close to Alister, so it wouldn’t do for her to inquire about the sudden change. Rather, Korie’s eyes darted to the other two occupants of the table as Korie waited for someone to speak.
[@themerlinhawk][@kiritoasuna][@thundercrash]
