It's alright, slice-of-life isn't that flashy compared to action/adventure RPs so it could be easy to get accustomed to! If you want to see examples of slice-of-life, stuff like sitcoms or slice-of-life animes (ie. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki / The Daily Lives of Highschool Boys) can show a general way of how that genre goes!
