Not a single type of meat among all of this food, these people must be insane or something! There had to be some animals here that were edible, that big centipede thing probably didn't get by on just apples and bananas. Or whatever the hell the space equivalent of those were. Space bananas? Shaking his head Takeshi griped about the selection as he picked up an hourglass shaped green fruit, turning it over in his hands trying to inspect it. "But we have fruit so much... And I like steaks, you know that buddy. And steaks come from cows," the older boy explained, "But I don't see any cows here, or chickens, or fish, or anything. Just these dumb fruits." Sighing to himself Takeshi shrugged and bit into the fruit in his hand, his face scrunching up at the flavor of it. Tart and a bit sour, what the hell kind of fruit was this? Slowly chewing it he tried another bite and grunted when he bit down on some core, wrinkling his brow at it before dropping it onto Shu's plate and grabbing a different one. "I just want to cook a nice meal over the fire, is that so much to ask...?" Laying here in silence was difficult with what was going on outside. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if Viral were awake but with no one to speak with Yumi couldn't do very much. Putting her hands on the bed she pushed herself up into a sit so she could better see out the window, her leg left laying and extended to recover properly. After all of the trouble that they had gone through for this planet it was nice seeing everyone so happy, it really felt like they had accomplished something with this. She knew the chieftain of the village had said villages didn't really mingle much but seeing how well everyone got along you'd think they were close as family. Tragedy could do that, she supposed. Hearing a stirring in the bed beside hers Yumi turned and smiled seeing Viral's eyes flutter open, swinging herself around so she could be closer to him. "Hi there... Glad to see you're awake," she said gently, leaning forward and folding her hands over her lap, "We're in the village, if you're wondering. Everyone else is out there celebrating while we're cooped up here resting." Laughing softly she shook her head before smiling at Viral, "Not that I'm not glad to be able to relax. How are you feeling?" Haku was having fun with this even if he wasn't the one receiving the thanks and the gifts. T'charrl was always so upset and down on himself so getting to see him happier was nice, for both of them. He was getting a meal out of it and that was all he needed, his stomach having been gnawing at itself earlier. Everything seemed just fine on the outside but when he prodded T'charrl for how he was actually doing the answer showed he was anything but fine. "I don't get why you can't rest... You have energy right? And the food too..." Haku muttered as he scratched at his head, "Plus I mean you s-saved all those people... Right? I doubt they'd hate you after you did t-that." Almost two dozen of them owed their lives to T'charrl and his portal, and you could even say they had saved the other village too from ever being attacked in the first place. Haku had never even saved one person before never mind this many, T'charrl was pretty much a hero to them. "I'm k-kind of jealous, actually... They're probably going to tell stories about you, and h-how you saved everyone from those things," Haku went on, smiling slightly as he rolled a small fruit between his hands, "Not that I'm n-not happy for you! You deserve it!"
