"Haha don't worry about it Ashleigh, you don't owe me anything." He said with a chuckle Jason mentally kicked himself. Yeah I should have realized everyone's had enough violence today. "That's interesting." He replied to Vedika curiously. "You can protect other people, and yourself. Maybe by some kind of some kind of energy manipulation? I wonder if that kind of manipulation is also how you can increase your offensive capabilities." Jason's mind had begun racing, thinking at breakneck pace. He took a deep breath. Realizing he had been spewing out words, quicker and quicker. "Sorry about that, I got a little carried away." Jason said as he went slightly red. "I guess I'll just tell you now and show off later. I possess cognitive acceleration. I can process thoughts and think at hyper speeds. That's what allows me to react like I can. My reaction time is about 5 times the speed of most people." [@Stern Algorithm] Suddenly time froze. Jason went white as a chalkboard. Time only slowed this much when he either really concentrated on his hyper focusing, or as a defensive mechanism. Freak. His mind went back to when he had tried to explain this same thing to his classmates. Ever since that, not a day had gone by at school without him being yelled at, mocked, pushed, shoved, punched. What if they think I'm a freak too? He tried to push the thoughts back down into the recesses of his mind. "S-so when I focus time kinda slows-" he stuttered out when time had resumed its usual speed. This time he couldn't keep a straight face. He needed to get away. "Sorry to cut this short but I t-think I'm gonna head back to my room. My room number is 350 so if you need anything just let me know." He said looking at Ashleigh. [@caits] He got up and quickly started to walk out of the gym. He laughed at himself mentally for telling them his room number in case they needed anything. Clearly he couldn't help anyone at the moment. Especially not someone else with emotional turmoil, when he himself was struggling at the moment. He eventually reached his room and went inside. He needed an escape from reality, he was craving a high of some kind. But not from drugs, he was an adrenaline junkie. He looked out the window almost hungrily, looking for a thrill to get him out of his own head.
