Korie Weiss
Korie smiled politely as Liam and Alister left, lost in silent contemplation. Is that what people wanted around here? She wondered. To graduate? After having stopped going to school, the last thing on Korie’s mind was reincorporating herself into society. What was the use? What would an amazing academic record get her now that she was branded a meta? Even if she somehow graduated within the top few of the school, Korie would still be a meta, plain and simple. A mutant. An outcast. No, Korie had long since given up on trying to stand out in the crowd. Her power was proof of that. Why else had she been granted the ability to take on others’ identities if not to blend in herself? A famous shapeshifter was a dead shapeshifter, especially if she was facing off with people who can read minds and speak to ghosts. ”I’ll be turning in for the night as well then,” Korie said to the remaining member of the table, standing and stretching. ”See you tomorrow for another round of classes.” Back at the dorm, sleep claimed her quickly. Korie rarely dreamt since she was a child, and that hadn't changed. The only difference was that while she used to be a heavy sleeper, she was now a light one. Sleeping on the streets could do that to you, although Korie was still glad she wouldn’t have to relive her worst fears alone in the dark.
[@themerlinhawk][@thundercrash][@kiritoasuna]
