Becca led her horse back to the stables and grabbed a bucket of water and a towel, sitting down on another bucket overturned in the stable. She began to wash the dirt from the horse's legs, taking the dulled knife she had to clean out his hooves as well. Becca loved horses, ever since she was a young child. It was the one major thing that helped her get through the years after she was marked. Stoic took a liking to her from the first day they met, and ever since, they'd been an inseparable pair. The stables was the one place you could find Becca if she didn't turn up anywhere else. He was working on a new piece and the buzz of the quad and cafeteria never seemed to die down. He couldn't retreat to his room because either his roommate would be trying to read his work before it was even finished [sup]which really bothered James when people did that[/sup], or Kovu would be sitting in his lap or on his chest trying to hog all of James' attention. So instead, James had taken the liberty of asking teacher before class if he'd be able to stay later. James wasn't a troublemaker, so the teacher agreed and gave him the room to himself so the professor could attend to a small errand he had. Once finished with his work, James clapped his journal shut and grabbed the book from his desk as he slid out from the student desk, closing the classroom door before making his way out into the quad. There was a massive gathering of fledglings outside and it suddenly dawned on James that there was an announcement to be made today. He cursed to himself softly and jogged over to join the group of students listening in to the High Priestess. The Vampyre was gorgeous, he had to admit that, but it wasn't enough for James' to act like some of the other students who quite resembled dogs with their drooling-at-her-feet behavior. James wasn't the cliche kind of guy who ogled over any hot mess that strolled through the halls. He stood there listening to High Priestess Hestia and as she exited off the stage, he dipped his head gently and muttered, "Blessed be, Priestess." At that, he made is own exit and headed over towards the fountain to sit and take up his Vampyre Sociology 101 class reading. He had always been one to be slightly ahead of everyone else when it came to reading assignments.
