Most of what I've been racking my brain so far has revolved around lacking a direct effect on other people (and thus avoiding doing things that would have massive effects on other characters), but that still doesn't prevent the consequences of his powers from being rather impactful. It's also not really a power that seems to correlate much with character growth either, which is a problem.
