Ever since the Dark Lord and his army of undead warriors and necromancers managed to gain power, the sky had been pitch black and chaos had been the only thing that ruled the land of Gondora. If you didn’t follow the rules that now existed, you would get killed, tortured or your house and fields would be set on fire. Resistance groups were executed on the spot and burned, to leave no traces of them in Gondora. There were a few places where groups had tried to stand up to the Dark Lord and his armies, but the longest any group had managed to fight the army, was about three days before they would be completely annihilated by the strength and powers from the darkness and it’s powers. Life was no longer peaceful, no longer the something you could contain dreams within. Life had turned out to be a survival trial. There was no room for dreams of riches, of romance, of becoming famous or any of those kinds of things. The one thing people now dreamed about, were freedom and to see the blue skies again. But even that dream was a dangerous one to have and share. Should you be considered to have that dream, by the Dark Lord and his armies, you would be taken away to dungeon somewhere, and never be seen again. For that reason, most people had given up dreaming and had accepted that they now had to live in fear and darkness. Though conquering one realm was not enough for the Dark Lord. There had been ancient texts that had suggested there was another realm that existed in parallel to this one. He wanted it, he was craving it, he needed to expand his kingdom and rule more. Chaos was what he needed and he would inflict it to as many places as he could possibly get his hands on, and conquering another realm would be something no other dark force had managed to do, at least to his knowledge. Since he had studied those ancient texts, he had his men start to conduct magical experiments to try and open the portal that should take them to the other realm. However, when they got it open, they were attacked by guardians, beings of different race that were positioned at the portal to make sure no one broke through to either side. These guardians were powerful, and they kept the Dark Lord’s army at bay for many many centuries. In the end, the Dark Lord got so frustrated that he sent all his warriors in at once, to take care of the guardians, and that was the end of the guardians. Though while all this was going on, a former dungeon prisoner, who had escaped the dungeon, had been following his experiments closely. She was one out of ten people that had managed to escape the dungeon, after she had been locked up and tortured for years. She had kept herself hidden for so long, that they assumed she had died from her wounds after she had escaped, and therefore had stopped the search for their prisoner. Though reality was quite different. Nanna Tild had been hiding in an abandoned shed for a long time, near a forest. From here, she had killed every single warrior from the Dark Lord’s army that had passed through. Usually it was very small groups that came along, which made it easy for her to take care of. She was what they would have called a battle-mage, in the old days. A warrior that had mastered both magical abilities and handling weapons. She had kept doing this for a few years, until she found a note on an undead warrior that explained what the Dark Lord was trying to do. She couldn’t let him do it, she had to stop him no matter what the cost would be. She had gathered up clothing from all the warriors she had killed, and put them in the shed. She found a black robe that would completely hide her face and hair, and got dressed. A month later, she had managed to infiltrate the ranks of the dark army, and she had gotten close to one of the mages that were doing experiments to open the portal. When the day came where the guardians were killed and the portal opened, that’s where she took action. The Dark Lord was standing in front of the portal, with a grin on his face. “Finally, our time has come to enter the other realm, and conquer it, like we conquered Gondora.” He grinned. “Prepare the army and the necromancers! Tell everyone to get ready for invasion." This was Nanna Tild’s sign. She dropped the robe and held a flaming sword in her left hand and a fireball in her right hand. “You’re not getting through that portal!” she shouted and fired her ball at him. The Dark Lord turned around and grabbed the fireball in his hand, before crushing it. “I see we got an infiltrator. I do believe I have seen you before…” he said, as he tapped his grey colored right chin for a moment. “Oh I know who you are now. You’re that woman who so kindly killed a general of mine in a small village. How did it feel when we destroyed that eye of yours, as a punishment?” he grinned. Nanna gritted her teeth “Doesn’t matter, you’re not getting through that portal!” she ran towards him now with her sword ready. “Your attempt is futile; you’re not going to kill me like that.” He said with a laugh. He raised his hand to get ready to strike at her. But at the last moment, she grinned at him “I’m not going for you.” She said, and then jumped right, just before she reached him, and entered the portal. He turned around to look after her “Get her! Don’t let her get away! She can’t become the reason we can’t invade! Follow her!” Though white magical chains appeared around the portal and wrapped it up tightly, though it didn’t disappear. While the Dark Lord had shouted, Nanna had come crashing out through a crack in the air, right in the middle of Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower. She didn’t have time to look and see what was going on or where she was, or who was there, she used her powers to create those white chains and chain up the portal from both sides, buying herself some time. Now she turned around to look at where she was and…it was different. She had never seen any of the things she now saw. Things that moved around on wheels, people wearing strange clothing, holding up small things and pushing buttons. She could see flashing lights from the small devices and hear people saying “Quickly! Send the picture!” she had no idea what these people were doing or who they were, but one thing was clear, they were just as confused as she was. There were also people who ran away, after she had displayed her powers, but humans will always be humans, and some couldn’t run away because of their curiosity for the very unusual and never before seen event that had just taken place. She didn’t know where to go, and she didn’t know what to do. Far away, she could hear some kind of warning noise, a kind of siren sound maybe. The sun was hot though, and it felt strange. She hadn’t felt the sun for so many years and she had forgotten what it felt like, and how the blue sky looked. She had missed the feeling, but now she was no longer in her own world.
