Well like [@NarayanK] just explained, it's a very turn based thing. When I'm interacting with someone else I typically try to write what my character is thinking and observing and then perform some sort of action like responding to a question, asking a question, or whatever. At that point I'm probably done with my post and I just wait for whoever I'm interacting with to post. 

Once you get used to it and better at it, it's actually pretty simple.
