It was time for the final match in the Champion League. Liam took one box while Steven stood in the other.

"Welcome, ‘Dragon Master’  Coleman. I was hoping I would get to see you make it here one day. Tell me… What have you seen on your journey with your Pokémon? “Fire Punch!” Liam ordered. Hitmonchan’s fist became engulfed in flames as he ran toward the metallic bird. 
 “Toxic!” Steven ordered. Hitmonchan was badly poisoned, but landed the attack on Skarmory.

“Fire Punch again!” Liam called. Skarmory began to say in the air. “Mach Punch the ground!” Liam called. Hitmonchan used the momentum to reach up and grab Skarmory, slamming the fiery fist into Skarmory’s back.
(Toxic 2)
“Skarmory, Aerial Ace!” Skarmory brushed Hitmonchan off and charged in to make the move.
 “Finish it with one last Fire Punch!” this time it burned Skarmory, though it survived. Aerial Ace was critical, and the Toxic finished Hitmonchan off. Liam next called on Jiriya.

“Jiriya, Water Shurikren!” Liam called. The move hit five times, and stiffened up Skarmory’s body, making it crash to the ground stunned.
 “Now, Power up Punch!” The move hit and KO’s Skarmory. Clairol came out next.

“Grimm, use Shadow Ball!” Liam ordered. Claydol used Protect to stop the attack.
 “Shadow Sneak!” Claydol was hit. Steven than ordered Earth Power again. Grimm used Shadow Ball and KO’d Claydol, who was replaced by Carabink.

Carabink used Moonblast and Grimm’s Shadow Ball missed. Grimm tried to use Ice Punch, by Carabink used Power Gem. Grimm was KO’d by this and replaced by Sylveon.

A long battle ended when Sylveon smacked Carabink with Iron Tail and Carabink hit Sylveon with Psychic, resulting in a double knockout.
