Amber Pine

Route to Mesalon
[@fer1323] [@Noxx] Even in her shaken-up state, Amber gave a small smile. "No problem," she replied to Oscar. "In any case, it'll be good for them to spend time with other Pokemon." Kabuto had already crawled over to the Torchic, and Yanma flitted around from Oscar's team to Nyxx's. She didn't seem to be taking her earlier loss to the Buneary all that badly. While the Pokemon socialised, Amber studied the selection of minerals. It was generous of the guy to offer free items, but there didn't seem to be anything she'd find useful... at least, not right now. One particular stone caught her attention, a grey rock encased in clear blue crystal. If that was what it looked like, it would make any rain summoned by a Pokemon last longer, and from her research into fossil Pokemon, she knew some Kabuto moved faster in rain. Something like that could be worth holding on to. "If that's a Damp Rock, I'll have that one, please," she said. After the man handed the various rocks to people, he stood up, closing the bag and hefting it onto his shoulders. "Yeah, as soon as I get to Windshire, the first thing I'm doing is reporting this to the professor," he said, his gaze constantly flicking from the group to his surroundings, in case any of the birds returned. "Yet more crazed Pokemon... Well, I'd better hurry. Again, thanks. Come on, you two." He returned Woobat and Cubone, then turned and set off at a brisk pace down the route before any more Pokemon could attack. Amber frowned. "Crazed Pokemon?" she muttered to herself. The trader hadn't bothered to explain, but she couldn't say she blamed him for wanting to get out of there. Was this a common occurence here? If so, why? Putting away the blue rock, she took out a medical kit and treated the injury. "Well that was weird... I haven't seen Pokemon behaviour quite like that." A screech overhead snapped her out of her thoughts. Lifting her head, she gasped in awe. "Is that...?" The distant shape soared closer, revealing its full magnificence. "An Aerodactyl! A real live Aerodactyl! I've always wanted to see one!" Her eyes shone with fascination. She hadn't expected to see such a Pokemon so early on her journey, but it figured that some lucky trainer from Windshire would have one, people did seem to like their Flying types there. "Such grace, yet such strength!" She kept her distance, but she assumed whoever owned the Aerodactyl would know what they were doing. "Oh crap..." Or not. The Aerodactyl swooped around, shrieking like a furious beast, shooting beams of light from its mouth every which way. This Pokemon was even more out of control than the Rufflets, and much, much more dangerous. She pulled away as a tree crashed to the ground several yards from the group, its trunk splintered and blackened. "Run!" she yelled, hauling Nyxx to her feet. "Kabuto, Yanma, return!" With both Pokemon safely inside their Pokeballs, she sprinted for it, checking that the others were following. Today was certainly turning out eventful... the wrong kind of eventful.
