I think the problem is nobody knows exactly at what level our character's abilities should be and what kind of tone you have in mind for this.  At what level should a character's powers be?  How serious should they be?  For example I know magic is a thing but are we talking more science based magic like in marvel, magic-magic like the traditional kind, or?...
