He was home alone which wasn’t usual. Thankfully when they arrived, his parents had left for some show in the Lincoln center where a famous Odette Favre, a ballerina dancer believed to bring the art into its fullest form, was performing for a limited time. Personally, he never got into the classical styles of performances. These included anything from opera to theater. They were Daniel’s likes in the end and another fact that proved he wasn’t anything like him. Inhaling, Ben kicked aside a few crumbled boxes into a corner. Most were Chinese take out boxes, their contents long gone, while he tossed his torn suit to hide them from sight. Everything still felt so surreal to him. His shoulder being rolled and tested, his hand examined it for something Adrian might’ve missed to prove everything was actually real. Benjamin found it odd that it bothered him so much, but truthfully he likely still didn’t believe. Thankfully he had a day to prepare himself for the full moon so there was little point to fret over it. His eyes brushed by his alarm clock spying enough time for a shower before the pizza guy arrived with the pies after ordering it. Right now he would kill for one of Emma’s Sopaipillas, a pillow fried bread with honey drizzle, her Mexican dishes to die for in his opinion. His hand reached for his phone, then typed in a local pie joint. Pressing the phone up to his ear, Ben waited for someone to pick up the other end as he leaned against the wall.
Ji sighed as she was working on counting the money in the drawer when the phone began to ring. She placed the money back in and walked over to the phone. Clearing her throat, she picked it up and said with a jolly voice. ”Hello this is Pizza Kingdom, how many I help you?” her chinese/korean accented voice would be very obvious to the person on the other end. She sat down with a pad of paper and a pen ready to write down the person’s order. There a brief pause then Ben spoke. “Yeah. I would like to order about five pizzas, please.” ”Ok then, Do you want a 12”, 16” or an 18”” She asked writing it down on her notepad. looking at the cookers who were watching her and knowing she was taking an order. “Eighteen inch for all of them because it’s a full house. First one I need to have Hawaiian style with pineapple and ham on a normal crust. The second one is plain pepperoni, and third is a Supreme with normal crusts for both. The fourth and fifth are both meat lovers and thin crusts.” She nodded as she wrote this down at a rapid pace. Once she was done, she walked up and gave the order to the chefs who began to work immediately on the order. They saw it was a very large, pun not intended, one and it would take them a while to cook. ”Each pizza will take about couple minutes each, so give us around an hour and a half. Will this be a delivery or a pick up?” She asked “Delivery and last name’s Reeves,” Ben stated then gave the address. “Someone will be standing on the front yard expecting the pie, what’s the total?” ”Got it sir. That would be $65.99 when the order reaches you. See you in an hour and a half.” She said hanging up on the phone. She placed the phone down at the receiver and pulled out her cellphone. She usually checked up on her sister to make sure she was getting everything they needed for the next two weeks, without going over budget. ’How is the errands going?You aren’t going over budget? And make sure to use the coupons I left you.’ She put her phone on vibrate and placed it back in the pocket of her black jeans. She heard her boss calling her to the back and went to see what she wanted.
~~~|An hour and a half later|~~~ Ji sighed as she placed the pizzas carefully into her warmed up car. She often used her own car when they were short on delivery cars like today. One of the others had crashed it last week and it was completely totaled, so that left her using her own to make deliveries. She didn’t mind since her shitty car had great gas milage and she had just filled it this morning. She closed the passenger door and went into her seat, putting on her seat belt. From there she was on her way to make the delivery. She arrived around twenty minutes later, taking it off and stepped out of the car. She went around and grabbed her card swiper incase they payed with credit card for the pizzas. Ji walked up to him. Instantly she smelt that he was a werewolf. It took all the self control she could muster not to have her eyes widen and for her to gasp, showing her shock. Ben was standing there. His hair was still dampened from his shower as he placed his hands on his hips, seeming to get impatient. When she stopped, his feet moved to meet her halfway and scented the savory smells of dripping cheese, hot meats, and more within the cardboard boxes. It made him practically drool thinking about sinking his teeth into the food, ignoring the stranger scent coming off Ji. A low growl erupted from his midriff, which he ignored, as he reached for his back pocket then pulled his wallet out. He shifted through the inside to pull out the correct amount, plus tip, before passing it toward the driver. She was sort of pretty, his mind barely noting the details, he noted briefly. Already his focus returned to his instincts gnawing away for food and the need to feed when he took the boxes. She took the money and handed over the pizzas, moving her head to the side a lttle bit from time to time. Setting them carefully into his hand, she put the money in her pocket. Her instincts were screaming at her and clawing at her to look for other werewolves. She fought them hard and eventually won, pushing them in the back of her mind. “You look nervous as hell. Something I should be worried about?” Ben’s voice asked, his head perked to the side and seemed to be listening closely to her next words. ”Have a good day sir” She said as she turned and began to walk back down towards her car in a quick fashion trying desperately not to look back at Ben. She gave in finally and shot one last look at him before getting into her car. Ben stood there, his expression confused. He didn’t even understand what happened or understand, finding her behavior strange and odd. Shrugging it off, he sighed then turned about to head inside. His arms juggled the pizza, the hot bottoms heating his lower arms, as he bellowed at his unwanted house guests. “GUYS! PIE’S HERE!”
