The Governor made sure Abigail was safe and warm, before his gaze caught the corset in the arms of the one of the guardsmen. The man's faced paled, and he put it down and pointed at this new roguish woman standing before them. The Governor looked right at her. "Shoot her." "Governor!" Abilgail exclaimed. "Father." Elizabeth said behind them, striding forward and elbowing her way past the guards, keeping her father at heel. "Commodore Norrington. You don't expect me to believe you'd shoot her for saving my friend's life?" She eyed the Commodore. Norrington's ire cooled somewhat, breathing through his nose as he looked this mystery woman up and down, measuring her. He sheathed his sword, and held out his hand. "I believe thanks are in order." he said, taking her hand in his. He did not shake however, and drew back her sleeve. "Had a brush with the East India Trading Company eh? Pirate." His last word was a cold, hard statement of fact.
