Clive is the second son of a notable West Country newscaster and less notable production runner. At eighteen, Clive went to the University of Southampton to study journalism. After graduating, the Iraq war had been raging and Clive was a fresh faced and willing war correspondent, more than ready to get stuck in. Once Iraq was more or less wrapping up, then Clive was reluctantly shifted to the various conflicts of sub-Saharan Africa. Finally, the poverty and the conflict was starting to take it's toll. Therefore the move from a UN compound in Darfur to an office in London was a relief for numerous reasons. The work in London however, wasn't a quiet step back as he'd hoped. Things weren't panning out as had been planned. Life wasn't taking the shape that he had planned on, so he decided to shake it up. At least that's what Clive tells people, as a collection of superiors, unimpressed with his methods of work had him ousted from current affairs and exiled to BBC World News. Specifically to the depraved and perverted channel, BBC America. Personal information: Clive is a loose cannon of a journalist. The broad methodology of war correspondence doesn't sit well with the lethargic and torpid news post-election. There is no story he won't run, there is no rumour he won't hunt down. He doesn't pursue these however out of idealistic pursuit of the truth. Rather, he does it to buffer and shield his own secrets from being discovered. Mainly his drug habit. Positions: War Correspondent 2004-2009, Broadcast Journalist (BBC Current Affairs) 2009-2016, Broadcast Journalist (BBC World News) 2016-
