If the king gives us full carte blanche to guard them, then we might want to smuggle the queen and princess out of the castle entirely and keep them in a secure place with you watching them, the official explanation being they went to a cousin or something and us three being the only ones who know where the two actually are, and the two royals once they get there and maybe the king if he insists. Then Kerylun and I can sneak back in and scout around the castle together. I can pretend to be a new maid and you, no offense, could blend in among the gargoyle statues, give a bird's eye view of the what's going on and maybe overhear if anyone whispers in the rafters, a secret passage goes through the top, or something. If the king doesn't agree with the idea, then we might have to improvise and make sure the princess and queen both are guarded 24/7 while also taking any chance to seek the imposters though you, Shama, would still be the only obvious guard while we disguise ourselves as we would if the first plan had been implemented."
