It wasn't so much not having a space here, it was more like...Euhg, it was a stupid fear, and I'm pissed at myself for having it now, especially knowing what happened to you. 

Of course I'm staying here for you. How could I not stay here after knowing what's happened? I know I'm bad at keeping contact, and mental illness takes the better of me a lot, but you're still my friend and I still care about you. Of course I'm staying here for you. *Hugs*
